Our Story
The Story Behind Mivana
Some ideas come from a business meeting. Ours came from an empty chair at the dinner table.
For a while, our family was scattered — different cities, different time zones, different lives being lived far apart from each other. We got used to saying goodnight over the phone instead of in person. We got used to missing people. What we never got used to was the quiet ache of it.
One night, staring up at the sky, one of us said something simple: "Wherever you are, we're under the same moon." It sounds like a small thing. It wasn't. It became the thought we kept coming back to — that even when we couldn't be together, something was still holding us together.
That thought became a bracelet.
Two halves. One connection.
We designed the Sun & Moon bracelet to work the way we wished distance did — you keep one half, someone you love keeps the other, and no matter how far apart you are, the two pieces click together the moment they're near each other. It's not just jewelry. It's a small, physical proof that you still belong to someone, even when life pulls you in different directions.
We built Mivana to stay small on purpose.
No warehouses full of strangers packing your order. No corporate markup because "meaningful" sells. Every piece that leaves us has been touched by our hands, not a machine on an assembly line we've never seen. We keep our prices fair because the whole point of this bracelet is to be given — to a partner, a parent, a best friend, a kid heading off to college — and nobody should have to think twice about affording that.
This isn't just for couples.
We thought it would be, at first. But it turns out distance shows up in every kind of love — between mothers and daughters, best friends who moved away, siblings who grew up and grew apart in miles but not in heart. If there's someone you carry with you even when they're not beside you, this was made for that.
We're a small family running a small business, and we're genuinely proud of that. We read the messages you send us. We notice when you tag us in a photo with someone you love. Every single order matters to us, because we know exactly what it feels like to want to hold onto someone who's far away.
If you're wearing your half of the sun or the moon right now — thank you for trusting us with something this personal. Somewhere, someone is wearing the other half, thinking of you too.
